JANUARY 2010:

Because our customers need to reduce R&D costs DSi offers technologies, equipment and services that allow reducing significantly test durations

DSi New products are :

"Air-Mix"Equipment to produce aerated oil with controlled temperature and aeration level

"TC-Lube" - A separate lubrication system for turbochargers

The latest versions of our technical Brochures are available here

OUR TEST CENTRE INCLUDES MODERN TEST BEDS AND INNOVATIVE RADIOTRACING TOOLS FOR ON-LINE MEASUREMENT OF ENGINE WEAR, TURBOCHARGER WEAR, FUEL DILUTION, OIL CONSUMPTION, OIL AERATION, AND CLOGGING OF DIESEL PARTICLE FITERS (DPFs).

Special equipment is dedicated to the development of Stop & Start and hybrid engines. This includes radiotracing tools for measuring the impact of STT cycles on wear of critical components such as line bearings and turbochargers.

July 2009: PARTNERSHIP WITH BREUER TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT (BTD)

DSi and BREUER TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT (BTD) have agreed to join their expertises for the development of engines and lubricants. The 2 companies now act jointly as a leading developer for both series production and high-performance competition engines.  In total, 6 modern test cells are available for testing I.C. and hybrid engines.

PIERRE BAYART: YOUR CONTACT FOR ENGINE TEST SERVICES

Pierre Bayart joined DSi team. As expert in I.C. engines, he is now responsible for operation and maintenance of our engine test tools.

Pierre has an engineering degree (BTS) in combustion engines and a DUT (University Technical Degree) in mechanical engineering.  He has a strong experience in test bed operation.
Pierre is your contact for testing engines and lubricants at our new facility in Tournai, Belgium.

ON-LINE MEASUREMENT OF OIL CONSUMPTION: C-LUBE EQUIPMENT OFFERS ABSOLUTE RESULTS IN GRAMS/HOUR  !

"C-Lube" Version 2 is a unique tool for monitoring engine oil consumption on test beds or on vehicles. A significant advantage compared to other methods: C-Lube takes into account both burned and unburned oil fractions present in the exhaust line.

The method is based on the use of radiotracer compounds that are mixed to the engine oil. These tracers are fully representative of the distillation interval of the base oil. O
il consumption measurement is performed in the exhaust line where oil residues are detected continuously during engine operation. C-Lube offers significant advantages compared to conventional methods: real-time results and representativity of one or several oil fractions.  It also measures both burned and unburned oil fractions, which is a significant advantage compared to the mass spectroscopy method.

C-Lube is available for a wide range of applications, from small gazoline engines to heavy duty diesels.

 MONITORING LUBRICANT AERATION

"Air-X" equipment more compact and faster !

A modular version or "Air-X" is now available whatever the application: on-board measurement (on vehicles), tilt test beds, standard engine test bed. This compact version includes 2 subsystems: an hydraulic unit to be installed in the vicinity of the engine, and a remote electronic module to be installed either in the test cell or in the control room.

The new model is equipped with a newly designed measuring chamber for faster response and laminar flow at higher flow-rates. Consequently, the response-time has decreased to 1 sec.
